Vigny, Val-d'Oise

Vigny is a commune with 1072 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Val- d'Oise in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Pontoise and Vigny, whose capital it is.

Geography

The municipality is located in the countryside Vexin français, some 40 kilometers northwest of Paris. Neighboring communities of Vigny are:

  • Ableiges in the east,
  • Longuesse in the south and
  • Théméricourt in the West.

The place is situated on the left bank of the river Aubette. The entire municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park Vexin français.

Vigny is crossed by the department of road D14 direction Magny -en- Vexin leads from the Greater Cergy -Pontoise.
