Viktor Plakida

Viktor Tarassowytsch Plakida ( born August 2, 1956 in Krasny Luch, Luhansk Oblast ) is a politician of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea within Ukraine.

Plakida finished his studies in 1979 at the Polytechnic Institute in Leningrad ( now St Petersburg). From 1980 to 2003, he worked in various positions at the competent authorities for the power grid of the town of Feodosia, and later the entire peninsula Crimea. After that he worked in the policy of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and was elected chairman of the Council of Ministers ( Prime Minister ) elected the Crimea in May 2006. In March 2010, he resigned from this office.
