Viktor Ruban

Viktor Ruban (born 24 May 1981 in Kharkiv ) is a Ukrainian archer in Olympic Recurve discipline.

Viktor Ruban belonged to the Ukrainian team in Athens was able to win the bronze medal in the small final against the U.S. team at the Olympic Games in 2004. In individual competition, he came on the 13th Place. In the year after the games he was with his team at the World Championships in Madrid Fourth, the individual he was eighth. Two years later at the World Championships in Leipzig reached Ruban with the team finished seventh in the individual he only reached rank 21

Before the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing Ruban won in Boé a competition as part of the World Cup. In the games he missed with the first team in fourth place in the small final against China a new bronze medal with the team. Quite surprisingly, he struggled in the individual competition to the finals before. There he was able to prevail with 113-112 rings against the two-time team Olympic gold medalist Park Kyung -mo from South Korea.
