Viktor von Hacker

Viktor von Hacker ( born October 21, 1852 in Vienna, † May 20, 1933 in Graz) was an Austrian surgeon.

Hacker studied medicine in Vienna, where he received his doctorate in 1878 for Dr. med. Later he became an assistant to Theodor Billroth ( 1829-1894 ).

He habilitated in 1888. After that, he was head of the Erzherzögl. Surgeon. Abtl. the Sophia Hospital in Vienna and from 1891 to 1894 first violinist of the General Policlinic. 1894/95 (1894 called, appointed in 1895 ) he was appointed a full professor at the University of Innsbruck. From 1903 to 1924 he was a professor in Graz.
