Viktorija ÄŒmilytÄ—

Viktorija Cmilyte ( born August 6, 1983 in Šiauliai) is a Lithuanian chess player.

Life

Since 1999 she is Grand Master of the women ( WGM ), since 2001 it bears the title of International Master (IM) and since 2010 the a Grand Master (GM). Your Elo rating is 2504, so that it leads the Lithuanian woman rankings (as of May 2011). Until September 2001, it was No. 1 on the FIDE ranking of the juniors.

In 1994 she was the Sixth U12 European Championship and won the 1995 U12 World Cup in São Lourenço. In the same year she became Junior World Champion in chess the age group U12 in Paris. 2000 and 2005, won the championship of men Cmilyte their home country Lithuania. In 2004, she won the silver medal on board one of the Lithuanian Olympic team ( behind GM Zsuzsa Polgar in the U.S. ). In 2007 she became European Champion in Predeal rapid chess. In 2011 she won the European Women in Tbilisi. 2013 in Belgrade, she finished fourth.

In Germany she plays Baden- Baden in the women's Bundesliga and in the second and third men's team for the OSG, in Sweden it was with the men's team of SK Rockaden Stockholm in the 2007 /08 season team champion.

From 2001 to 2008 she was married to the Russian- Spanish Alexei Shirov Grandmaster. She has two children.
