Villeneuve-la-Guyard
Villeneuve- la- Guyard is a commune with 3222 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Yonne department in Burgundy. It belongs to the district Sens and the canton of Pont -sur- Yonne.
Geography
The town is near the river Yonne on the National Road N 6 (D 606) between Sens ( 25 km) and Fontainebleau ( 29 km).
Attractions
Every year on the last weekend in August the place the Foire aux Oignons ( onion market) instead of a mix between street fair and flea market, where the onion and garlic are the focus of course.
