Vilson Xavier de Menezes Júnior

Vilson ( born April 3, 1989 in São Gonçalo, with full name Vilson Xavier de Menezes Júnior ) is a Brazilian footballer.

Vilson played in the Youth for Madureira Esporte Clube. He completed his first professional games for CR Vasco da Gama. After relegation in 2008 with Vasco from the Série A, he succeeded with his club as a master of Série B 2009, the direct re- ascent. Then Vilson went to EC Vitória. Having been in the first half of 2010, he won the state championship with Vitória Bahia, he moved to Grêmio Porto Alegre. With this club he reached the second round at the 2011 Copa Libertadores. At the beginning of 2013 he was transferred from Gremio in exchange for the Argentine national team Hernán Barcos at Palmeiras São Paulo and qualified in the first half of the year with Palmeiras as a table sixth in the regular state championship season for the knockout phase of the State Championship of São Paulo and retired there in quarter-final penalty shoot- out against the first division club FC Santos.

On August 29, 2013 announced Palmeiras that Vilson will move to VfB Stuttgart. The Stuttgart sporting director Fredi Bobic told, however, three days later that the immediate transfer had failed.
