Vincent Kipruto

Vincent Kipruto (born 13 September 1987) is a Kenyan marathon runner.

After he had become at its premiere on the 42,195 - km - distance third in the Reims Marathon 2008 in 2:08:16 hours, he attended the Paris Marathon in 2009 for a surprise when he was in one of the previously fastest runs history against five other runners prevailed, which remained under 2:07. With Kipruto 2:05:47 broke the old course record from 2003 by 46 seconds. In the autumn he was third at the Chicago Marathon.

The following year he finished eleventh at the Abu Dhabi Half Marathon, third at the Rotterdam Marathon and fifth in Chicago.

In 2011 he took after a second place in Rotterdam in the World Athletics Championships in Daegu, the silver medal with a time of 2:10:06. The following year he was sixth at Roma - Ostia. At the London Marathon, he finished 13th and the Hengshui Marathon ninth place.

In 2013 he was second in the Egmond Half Marathon and won the Lake Biwa Marathon, the Lille Half Marathon and the Frankfurt Marathon.
