Vincenzo Cozzi

Vincenzo Cozzi (* November 26, 1926 in Lauria Inferiore, † July 3, 2013 in Melfi ) was Bishop of Melfi - Rapolla - Venosa.

Life

Vincenzo Cozzi received on 18 June 1950, the ordination. He was from 1969 to 1981 rector of the seminary in Policastro Bussentino and pastor in Lagonegro. He was vicar general of the diocese of Tursi - Lagonegro.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 12 September 1981 for the Bishop of Melfi - Rapolla. The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio, gave him on 25 October of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Vincenzo Franco, Archbishop of Otranto, and Gerardo Pierro, Bishop of Tursi - Lagonegro.

On 24 May 2002, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
