Vincenzo Franco

Vincenzo Franco ( born June 1, 1917 in Trani) is Emeritus Archbishop of Otranto.

Life

Vincenzo Franco was ordained a priest on July 6, 1947. He was appointed on December 12, 1974 Bishop of Tursi - Lagonegro. The prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio consecrated him on January 26 of next year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were Guglielmo Motolese, archbishop of Taranto and diocesan administrator of Castellaneta, and Giuseppe Carata, Archbishop of Trani - Barletta- Bisceglie. On January 27, 1981, he was appointed by John Paul II as Bishop of the Diocese of Otranto
