Vita Palamar

Wita Palamar (Ukrainian Віта Паламар, English transcription Vita Palamar, completely Вікторія Григорівна Паламар, Viktoriya Hryhorivna Palamar, . Born October 12, 1977 in Khmelnytskyi ) is a Ukrainian high jumper.

At the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, she was seventh. The following year she was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon, and at the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton and won gold at the Universiade.

A fifth place finish at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis was followed by a fourth place finish at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 2004 and a fifth place finish at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki.

In 2007, she was at the World Championships in Osaka Seventh, 2008, she won bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia and was fifth at the Olympic Games in Beijing, and in 2009 she retired at the World Championships in Berlin in qualifying.
