Viti Levu Group

The Viti Levu - group is a Melanesian country to Fiji belonging archipelago in the South Pacific. It consists of two administrative divisions of Fiji, the Central Division and the Western Division.

Main island is Viti Levu, more inhabited islands and atolls are: Construction, Beqa, Leleuvia, Naigani, Nananu -i - Cake, Nananu -i -Ra, Nukulau and Vatulele.

Some groups of islands near Viti Levu, as the Lomaivitiarchipel, Mamanuca and the Yasawainseln be considered as lying outside and are usually treated as a separate island chains.

The total area is 10,453 km ², the population for the Central and Western Division, according to Census 2007: 661 997 inhabitants ( 1996: 574 801 ).
