Vladimir Veremeenko

Vladimir Vladimirovich Weremejenko (Russian: Владимир Владимирович Веремеенко ) ( born July 21, 1984 in Gomel, BSSR, Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian professional basketball player.

Career as a player

Clubs

Vladimir Weremejenko began his professional career at Awtodor Saratov. Then he went to Saint Petersburg to Dynamo, who had taken over the premiership license from Awtodor in 2004 and with whom he won the FIBA Euro Challenge 2005. After the dissolution of Dynamo 2006 he changed to BK Khimki. With Khimki he won the Russian Cup (2008) and was third once and second once the Russian Championship. After two years in Khimki, he moved to UNICS Kazan. With UNICS he won again the Russian Cup (2009) and the ULEB Eurocup 2011.

Competitions

In addition to the Russian championship Weremejenko played with Dynamo Saint Petersburg two seasons in the Euro Challenge. In the ULEB Eurocup he played a total of five seasons, two with BK Khimki and three with UNICS. In the 2006 season he was nominated for the FIBA All- Star Game, to which he did not participate due to injury. In the 2010/2011 season he played with UNICS for the first time in the ULEB Euroleaugue. In addition to these competitions he plays since the 2009/2010 season in VTB United League. Here, he was named the MVP of the Month March 2012 and at the best Belarusian player in 2012/13.

Weremejenko is a member of the Belarusian national team.
