Vladimirs Kamešs

Vladimirs Kamešs ( born October 28, 1988 in Liepāja ) is a Latvian footballer who plays for Amkar Perm in the Russian Premjer League.

Career

Association

Vladimirs Kamešs began his career in his hometown of Liepāja, in the youth of the FK Metalurgs. At the age of 17, he debuted in 2005 under the Lithuanians Benjaminas Zelkevičius in the Virsliga. By 2010, the striker came irregularly to use minutes under different trainers at Metalurgs. Nevertheless, he won numerous titles with his team in Latvia including a Cup win and two championships as well as the Baltic League. Only a loan in the second half of the 2010 season at that second division FB Gulbene was responsible for the breakthrough after he scored 10 goals in 11 matches in the first league. Back in Liepāja Kamešs could hit double digits each in seasons 2011 and 2012. In February 2013 he signed a contract with Amkar Perm in Russia.

National

His debut for the Latvian selection gave Vladimir Kamešs on 22 May 2012 at the international match against the Polish national team which was held in Klagenfurt. He played after 73 minutes of play for Ivan Lukjanovs in the attack, along with Artjoms Rudņevs and later with the substitute Edgars Gauračs. With Latvia he took in the same year at the Baltic Cup in Estonia in part. In the first game of the semifinal against Lithuania, as well as in the final against Finland, he came on as a substitute. In the final of the 44th Baltic Cup Kamešs could achieve it 3-3 in a penalty shootout and had such a significant part in the 6-5 victory and the associated 21 tournament victory of his country.
