Volkan Ünlü

Volkan Ünlü ( born July 8, 1983 in Gelsenkirchen) is a Turkish football goalkeeper.

Career

Ünlü began his career at the 1 FC Gladbeck and the SV Höntrop. In 1998 he moved to the youth of the FC Schalke 04 In 2002, he played one year in the 2nd team before joining the first team. On 6 March 2004 denied Ünlü, due to an injury of Frank Rost in the match FC Schalke 04 against SC Freiburg his first Bundesliga match. This was followed by three more games before he was replaced by Christofer homes Roth. In 2005 he then moved to Beşiktaş Istanbul. There, however, he could not assert himself and changed in January 2007 to Çaykur Rizespor. There, too, he could not assert himself and changed in the summer of 2007 to Sivasspor. After he was briefly out of contract after the 2008 /09 season he signed in October 2009 signed a contract with the Dutch second division club MVV Maastricht until season's end. For the season 2010/11 he moved to Trabzonspor, from which he was however immediately loaned out to third division 1461 Trabzon. In October 2011, Ünlü returned to Germany, where the third division SG Sonnenhof Großaspach took him until 2012 under contract. Then Ünlü was out of contract and looking for a new club, but stayed at KFC Uerdingen 05 fit. On June 3, 2013 it was announced that Ünlü was taken from Uerdingen as a goalkeeper for the Regional team under contract. On January 22, 2014, the contract was terminated with the KFC Uerdingen again.

Ünlü still lives in his hometown of Gelsenkirchen.
