Wolokolamskaja (Russian Волоколамская; ? Pronunciation / i ) is an underground station of the Moscow Metro on the Arbatsko - Pokrowskaja - line (also called line 3 ).

Description

Wolokolamskaja is located in the extreme west of Moscow, in Stadtrajon Mitino that belongs to the North-Western Administrative District of the city, about one kilometer outside the ring road MKAD.

The subway station was put into operation on 26 December 2009. The construction had begun in the 1990s, but had to be interrupted for economic reasons, until it was resumed in January 2008 at the time. Simultaneously with Wolokolamskaja the two stations Mjakinino and Mitino were opened, and between Mjakinino and Wolokolamskaja a new metro bridge over the Moskva River was built.

The scale underground metro station has two additions to Mitinskaja Street and near the main road Volokolamsk highway, according to the Metro Station was named. Wolokolamskaja long time was also the project name of another Moscow Metro station.
