Volta ao Algarve
The Volta ao Algarve (German Algarve Tour ) is a Portuguese cycling.
It was first held in 1960, and starts every year since 1977. The tour will take place in several stages and takes place in the Portuguese region of Algarve. Since 2005, one of the race for the UCI Europe Tour and is classified in category 2.1. Record winner is the Portuguese Belmiro Silva, who won the Tour three times for themselves. Record stage winner is Candido Barbosa with five stage wins. Alex Zülle and Tony Martin are the only drivers from German speaking countries who were able to win so far.
