Vomit Remnants

Vomit Remnants is Japanese death metal band that was founded in Tokyo in 1997 and disbanded in 2005.

History

The band was founded in October 1997 and consisted of drummer Keisuke Tsuboi, guitarist Takahiro Kuwabara and bassist Ryo Nagamizu. In December 1997 the band recorded their first demo In the Name of Vomit, whereupon Shinjiroh Sawada was heard as a singer. The demonstration was advertised worldwide and appeared in diversten magazines. In early 1998 the group took with Brutally Violated on a second demo. A few weeks later, the band recorded a new song that was included on the compilation Gore Is Your Master, which appeared on Razorback Records. In early 1999, vocalist Sawada the band. On the next album Supreme Entity Toshiyasu Kusayanagi was represented as a singer. The recordings came out in May on Macabre Mementos Records. Then the band played on the Ohio Death Fest along with groups such as Dying Fetus, Internal Bleeding, Dehumanized, Devourment, Gorgasm and Prophecy. In 2000 Atsuyuki Katou came as a singer and guitarist for the band. Then the band went on a European tour together with Fleshless and Godless Truth. This lower others, the band performed at the Obscene Extreme and the Nuclear Storm Festival. She also played three gigs in Germany, and one each show in the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. Then the band went to the U.S. for a tour together with Brodequin. In addition, they released the EP Indefensible Vehemence. The band also contributed a cover version of the song for an Mass Obliveration Suffocation tribute album. After a few more small releases, the band broke up in 2005.

Style

The band was strongly influenced by the New York Death Metal, with this artist as Internal Bleeding, Suffocation and Dying Fetus are mentioned. On their only album Supreme Entity, the group with the already mentioned bands Dying Fetus and Internal Bleeding is similar sound, with Vomit Remnants can also be assigned to the Slam Death Metal. In addition, occasional influences from thrash metal can be heard. The songs are usually made quickly played, aggressive parts, which are interrupted by grooving passages. The band has also been referred to as " Japanese Dying Fetus ".
