Vorderstoder is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems in Traun quarter with 779 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Geography

Vorderstoder is located at 810 m altitude in Traun quarter. The extension is from north to south and 6.8 kilometers from east to west 10 km. The total area is 37.1 km ². 55.3 % of the area is forested and 25.3% of the area is used for agriculture.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Vorderstoder.

Mountains

The highest increase in Vorderstoder is the Warscheneck with 2388 m above sea level. A. and is located at the border to Styria in the south of the church.

Coat of arms

Blazon: About three golden, rising from the sign foot peaks whose average is higher than the other two, in blue, the Austrian archduke. The municipality colors are blue, yellow and red.

History

Originally located in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place belonged since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria; from 1490 he was the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. During the Napoleonic Wars it was occupied several times. Since 1918 Vorderstoder belongs to the province of Upper Austria, between the Anschluss of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938 and the restoration of Upper Austria in 1945 for " Upper Danube ".

Vorderstoder belonged until 2012 for the judicial district Windischgarsten and since 1 January 2013 part of the judicial district of Kirchdorf an der Krems.

Population Development

In 1991 the community had 739 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 765 inhabitants in 2008, 777 inhabitants and 779 inhabitants on 1 April 2009.
