Geographical location

The densely forested Vorholz is located in the north of the Inner Uplands, a part of the Lower Saxony highlands. It is located north of the valley between the mountain ranges of the innermost light mountains ( north-western part of the Salzgitter mountain range ) in the east-southeast, grove mountain in south-southeast, and south-southwest Sauberge in Hildesheimer forest in West southwest. It extends east-southeast of Hildesheim and west of Salzgitter between Schellerten in the north, Burgdorf in the east-northeast and Holle in the south.

Description

The Vorholz that. , With the toggle mountain to 243 m above sea NN is high and ( directly south tangent ) and Fuhse (some in the Northeast running away ) arise in which several streams as tributaries of heart, is crossed by several hiking trails and forest roads. There is a telecommunications tower on the Barenberg at grass village and a now ruined lookout tower on the local mountain in Asten Beck.

By Vorholz each run in east-west direction per a section of national highway 7 and the Federal Highway 6, in north-south direction through the mountain range, a portion of federal highway 444
