The Vorkuta (Russian Воркута ) is a right tributary of Uzza in the Komi Republic and the Nenets Autonomous District in North-West Russia.

The Vorkuta has its origin in the lake Bolschaja Vorkuta ( Chassyrei - Ty ) west of the Polar Urals. First, flows along the border between the Republic of Komi and the Nenets autonomous district of the south-west. Then she turns to the east in the Komi Republic, and finally towards south-southwest. It flows through the towns of Severny and Vorkuta. The Vorkuta opens on the right side in the Uzza. It has a length of 182 km and drains an area of ​​4550 km ². Between early June and October, the Vorkuta is ice-free.
