Wang Hongni

Wang Hongni ( born March 9, 1982 in Jinan, Shandong) is a Chinese triathlete.

Career

Wang Hongni studied for three years at a sports university of the Chinese military. In the Asian Triathlon Championship 2004 in the Philippines could take second place and won the silver medal.

The taking place in Athens in the same year Summer Olympics Wang also participated. The 25 August held Olympic competition ended Wang Hongni on the 40th place. In Doha, Wang won the gold medal at the Asian Games 2006.

At a doping control during a training phase, 24 August 2007 Wang Hongni was detected the misuse of testosterone. The World Association blocked the athlete, who was considered a gold hope for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing for two years. In October 2009, this lock ran out.
