Warren I. Lee

Warren Isbell Lee ( born February 5, 1876 in Bartlett, New York, † December 25, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York) was an American lawyer and politician. Between 1921 and 1923 he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Warren Isbell Lee attended public schools. He graduated in 1894 at Colgate Academy in Hamilton, 1899 at Hamilton College in Clinton and 1901 at New York Law School in New York City. His admission to the bar he received in 1901 and then began to practice in New York City. Between 1906 and 1910, and in 1920 he sat in the New York State Assembly. He was 1912-1914 worked as a deputy district attorney. Then he went 1914-1917 employment as First Deputy Comptroller in New York. Between 1917 and 1919 he was one of the counsel in the Public Service Commission in New York. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party. He took part in the years 1920, 1922, 1924 and 1927 to the Republican State Convention. In addition, he was 1917-1921 Trustee at Hamilton College.

In the congressional elections of 1920, Lee was in the sixth electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Frederick W. Rowe on March 4, 1921. In 1922 he suffered in his re-election bid a defeat and retired after March 3, 1923 the Congress of.

Then he went back his activity after as a lawyer. Lee was director of the Flatbush National Bank. He died on 25 December 1955 in Brooklyn and was buried there on the Green-Wood Cemetery.
