Warren Shouldice

Warren Shouldice ( born April 1, 1983 in Calgary ) is a Canadian freestyle skier. He specializes in the discipline Aerials ( jumping). In 2011 he became world champion.

Biography

Shouldice joined on January 1999 at Nor- Am Cup. His debut in the World Cup he had on 12 January 2003 at Mont Tremblant, where he finished in 30th place. The best result in his debut season was a sixth place. On 11 January 2004, he scored the first podium when he was second at Mont Tremblant also. In the following season 2004/ 05 was a second place his best finish. At the 2005 World Championships in Ruka, he came in at number nine.

On 16 December 2005 Shouldice celebrated his first World Cup victory in Changchun. In the same winter followed each a second and a third place. At the 2006 Winter Olympics he finished fifth. Due to injury, had Shouldice sidelined the entire 2006/07 season. In the World Cup season 2007/ 08, in turn, were two podiums to book, just as in the 2008 /09 season. In Japanese Inawashiro he won the bronze medal at the 2009 World Championships.

The 2009/10 season Shouldice graduated from with another podium finish at the Olympic Winter Games 2010, he jumped to tenth place. 29 January 2011 succeeded him in front of his home crowd in Calgary the second World Cup victory. At the World Cup in 2011 by winning the gold medal he managed the biggest success of his career.
