Waveney

Waveney is a District in the county of Suffolk in England. Council is based in Lowestoft; significant sights are Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Southwold.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Boroughs Beccles, Lowestoft and Southwold, the Urban Districts Bungay and Halesworth, the Rural Districts Wainford and part of the Rural District Lothingland.
