Way of the Five Pecks of Rice

The five- bushel rice Uprising ( Chinese五 斗 米 道, Pinyin Wǔdǒumǐ dào, W.-G. Wu -Tou -Mi - Tao ) was a religiously motivated revolt at the end of the Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE, ). Was led by the grandson of the founder of the uprising of the celestial master Zhang Lu. The name of the insurgency refers to the five- bushel tax, either for healing (Zhang Daoling was a faith healer ) or paid as a church fees. The uprising became a model for the popular uprisings that have been instigated against later dynastic governments. Another meaning would be: bushel refers to the constellation of the Great Bear. History

Used at the beginning of the 2nd century Daoling Zhang, founder of the Daoist organization, its popularity as faith healers and religious leaders to organize a theological movement known as the way of the celestial master.
