The Weber- Stephen Products LLC is a privately held company headquartered in Palatine, Illinois, United States. The company produces and sells grills, while predominantly gas, coal and electric grills. The product range is complemented by BBQ Smoker and " outdoor kitchens " and rounded off by various accessories.

Weber- Stephen Products sells its products mainly under the brand name Weber and is represented in over thirty different countries worldwide. The company was a family business until 2010, then sold the family who owns the majority of shares of BDT Capital Partners.

History

In 1952, George Stephen invented the first kettle grill by been converted into the bottoms of two buoys to a barbecue with a lid. At that time, he worked in his father's company, the Weber Brothers Metal Works, which had been founded on May 8, 1893.
