The White Mies is a 4'017 m above sea level. M. high mountain in the Pennine Alps. On the Saas valley facing side of the mountain is glaciated, while on the east and south sides of rock faces dominate the picture. Valley is a Saas-Grund and Saas- Almagell.

The first ascent was made from the Valais end of August 1855 by the Zurich Jakob Christian Heusser and the notary Peter Joseph Zurbriggen. The starting point was the Almagellerhorn Alp.

The majority of the climbing is done on the two normal routes: from Hohsaas ( 3'098 m ), or the White Mies huts ( 2'726 m) above the Saas Valley over the split -rich Triftgletscher, the north-west face and upper west ridge ( Triftgrat ) in 3 ½ -4 hours or of the Almagellerhütte ( 2'896 m) over the Zwischbergenpass and the south ridge with a time commitment of 4-5 hours.
