Welcome to the Dance is (English for Welcome to the Dance ), the fifth studio album by German pop band No Angels. It was released on 11 September 2009, under the label Polydor and Universal Music Domestic and contains, among other productions by Nasri Atweh, Adam Messinger and Aaron Pearce. The record reached number 26 in the German Media Control album charts and was thus the first plate of the band that did not make it into the top ten of the German album charts.

Background

After the release of the comeback album Destiny in 2007 and participating in the 53 Euro Vision Song Contest on May 24, 2008 in Belgrade, the No Angels began in July 2008 to work on their new studio album under a new management of Khalid Schröder. In July 2008, the No Angels flew to Los Angeles for the first time to write all together on songs for the band. The band got new support of new American producers and songwriters, among other things, Nasri Atweh, Adam Messinger, Rick Nowels and Aaron Pearce.

The album Welcome to the Dance is the commercially weakest album of the No Angels. In Germany the band 95th could only reach number 26 in Austria and number 65 in Switzerland for the first time reached an album of No Angels in Germany not the top ten and was represented only two weeks in the German charts.

Single releases

Before the release of the album the song One Life to which all band members were involved and reached number 15 in the German single charts appeared. The second single was announced the song Derailed in October 2009 and was to be published on 27 November 2009. Although the song has already been sent out as a promo CD and the tape applied for the song on various TV appearances such as The Dome 52, the publication was tilted four days before the scheduled release due to unknown reasons.

Music

For the first time an album by the band is not attributable to pop music, but the dance music and sets it apart from the other four studio albums from.
