Welcome to the Real World is the second studio album by Mr. Mister, released in November 1985. It was the only album the group, which was commercially successful.

Formation

All the songs on this album were written by the band and Richard Pages cousin John Lang, partly involving other band members. Page had rejected offers to play along with Toto and Chicago. The first single Broken Wings came out in September 1985 and was only a few months to become an international hit, it reached # 1 in the United States.

Broken Wings followed the end of 1985, the song Kyrie as a second single. He, too, was once again had a number 1 hit in the U.S. charts a success, with the Mr. Mister. At this time came the album to the top of the U.S. charts.

In the autumn of 1985 the band toured with Tina Turner, for the song Stand and Deliver was written; but this finally appeared on their third album Go On ..., the self- described the band as "some of the best stuff we ever did"; However, the success of its predecessor, it did not match.

Reception

On allmusic.com the music on the album as a Genesis -like Pop was designated " swirling keyboard textures, slightly spiritual lyrics and polished studio magic ". Four out of five stars were awarded as evaluation.
