Werner Schott

Werner Schott ( born November 20, 1891 in Berlin, † September 6, 1965 ) was a German actor.

Life

His career began in 1910 at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, where he acted in the subject " young hero ". In 1913 he went to the Volksbühne, 1915 at the Burgtheater in Vienna.

Here we saw him as Franz in Götz von Berlichingen, as King of France in King Lear, Kosinsky in The Robbers, Karl Maria Magdalene, Laertes in Hamlet, Octavius ​​in Antony and Cleopatra, Lionel in The Maid of Orléans and Gottwald in Gerhart Hauptmann Hannele's ascension. Towards the end of the 2nd World War, he became a member of the ensemble of chamber Games of the Deutsches Theater.

In the film, he slowly gained ground, first in the 1930s, he was often as a supporting actor in various productions. He played usually respect people as military, police officers and directors without being noticed much.

After the war, Schott refocused on the work on the Berlin stage and performed at the palace garden and the Schiller Theater.
