West Tamar Council

The West Tamar Municipality is located on the central north coast of the island about 195 km north of the capital, Hobart. The area includes 28 districts and towns: Badger Head, Beaconsfield, Beauty Point, Blackwall Bridgenorth Clarence Point, Deviot, Exeter, Flowery Gully, Fran Ford, Glengarry Gravelly Beach Greens Beach Grindelwald, Holwell, lanena, Legana, Loira, Kayena, Kelso, Notley Hills, Riverside, Robigana, Rosevears, Rowella, Swan Point, Winkleigh, and Yorktown. The headquarters of the Council is located in Beaconsfield in the northern half of the LGA, where about 1200 inhabitants.

Management

The West Tamar Council has nine members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor seven are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. West Tamar is not divided into districts.
