What a Girl Wants is an American film directed by Dennie Gordon from the year 2003.

Action

The 15 -year-old U.S. citizen Daphne Reynolds decides to travel from New York City to London to fulfill a childhood dream and get to know her father, Lord Henry Dashwood. Once in London, she meets in a hotel Ian Wallace, who fascinated them immediately. Almost immediately learns Daphne by the TV news a few facts about life, which leads her father now. He is in the middle in an election campaign and is engaged to the daughter of a fellow party member who has a daughter the same age. Ian shows Daphne the city and encouraged them in their original plans to visit their father, because Daphne is aware of the matter is not so sure, since they now know that her father leads a happy life in their eyes. Finally, she makes her way to the estate of her father and gives to a somewhat unconventional way access, which she twirls her father's life completely messed up. After initial uncertainty of her father's side, Daphne is taken on the estate by coaxing her grandmother and thus has the chance to know her father. Meanwhile, consultants try several times to introduce them into society, but this goes wrong every time by the unbridled temperament of Daphne and her father brought some problems in its election campaign. But when Daphne realizes that she endangered her behavior the career of her father, she decides to change. She changes her outfit, her appearance and is thus for the London Society for the "perfect" daughter. This contrived behavior drives Ian to turn away from her. In its " official introduction " to the high society Daphne overhears with how the party friend of her father talking to his daughter about her mother, and learns so that this has not voluntarily separated from her father.
