The northern building ( " Hütteldorfer Site") is located on the Keißlergasse with a bus station as a forecourt, where a taxi and a car-sharing stand are situated. In the immediate vicinity is the Gerhard -Hanappi Stadium is located. The deeper the level of southern building ( " Hackinger Site") is separated from the Vienna flow through the Hadikgasse. About the Hackinger bridge leads into the 13th District. The two receiving buildings are connected by a platform underpass.

In the two Buildings some smaller shops, the ticket office of the ÖBB and the metro station supervision of the Wiener Linien are housed. The station has ten platforms, of which are normally six for passenger and two used exclusively for the subway. From the short head platform 11, the trains of the suburban line drive (S45 ) direction Handelskai, the main platform 1 almost all trains heading west ( distance trains towards Linz, regional trains towards St. Pölten, S50 after Untertullnerbach -Press tree, S15 after sub Purkersdorf ). Trains to Westbahnhof ( inter alia S50 ) and direction Meidling ( S60) leave from the platforms 3/4 and 5/6. Because of the low platform heights of the station not by ICE and railjet trains will be operated. The trains of the U4 towards the city center and on to Heiligenstadt hold on the middle platform in the southern part of the station, to the west a fully automatic single-track turning system is connected, east of a parking hall for the trains. A footbridge connects the U4 - platform with the opened in 2008 park and ride car park.

All platforms are accessible by lift, platforms 1 and 11 also have a free level output to the bus station Keißlergasse. Escalators lead from the platform underpass to the station building Keißlergasse to the platforms 3/4 and the reception building Hadikgasse for U4 - platform.
