Wiesław Szczepański

Wieslaw Andrzej Szczepanski ( born June 1, 1960 in Chrośnica ) is a Polish politician and Member of the Sejm in the II, III. , V. and VI. Term, also was former Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Curriculum vitae

He earned a degree at the Academy of Economics in Poznan. Until its dissolution in 1990 Szczepanski member of Polska Zjednoczona partia Robotnicza was ( Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR ). By the early 1990s, he served as director of a company.

From 1994 to 1998 he was a town councilor in Leszno, held, among other things, the function of vice-chairman. From 1999 to 2000 he sat in the Parliament of the Greater Poland Voivodeship, which he was Deputy Chairman from 2002 to 2005. He was a member from 1995 Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej ( Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP ), later he joined the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD) at. 2004 Szczepanski was elected deputy chairman of the party. In 1996 and 1997 he acquired elected to the Sejm of the II and III. Election period.

In October 2001, he was appointed to the post of Vice President of the Office of Housing and Urban Development, and held this office until the dissolution of the Authority in December 2003. From 2004 to 2005 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure. Later he worked as an advisor to the Director General of the Polish Post.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections, he was re-elected after a four-year break in the Sejm. In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was on the list of Lewica i Demokraci for the constituency with 10,579 votes Kalisz for the fourth time ( Left and Democrats - LiD ) once again elected to the Sejm. He is a member of the Sejm commissions for infrastructure as well as sports.

Since 22 April 2008 he is a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
