Wild Horse Valley AVA

Wild Horse Valley AVA ( recognized since 30 November 1988) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California and is part of the regional Napa Valley AVA. The vineyards here are spread over the districts of Napa County and Solano County. The proximity to the Bay of San Pablo a comparatively cool climate and thus allows the cultivation of early -ripening Pinot Noir although the average sunshine duration is very high.

Since only 40 hectares are planted with vines, there is in the wine region Wild Horse Valley AVA just a winery, the Heron Lake Winery.
