Wilhelm Kolle

Kolle was from 1893 to 1906 Employees of Robert Koch and developed at this time, among other things, the vaccination against cholera and typhoid ( 1896). He then worked at the Institute for the Study of Infectious Diseases in Bern. From 1917 to 1935 he was director of the State founded by Paul Ehrlich Institute for Experimental Therapy (now the Paul -Ehrlich- Institute ) and the Georg- Speyer-Haus in Frankfurt am Main.

He was married to Helene Alwine Brigl and was the father of Kurt Kolle and Helmut Kolle ( Helmut from the hill ), and the grandfather of Oswalt Kolle.

Kolle was a member of Turnerschaft Cheruscia Göttingen since the winter semester 1887/88.

In 1932 he was in the section " pathology " member of the Leopoldina.
