Will Haven

Will Haven are an American heavy metal band that was founded in 1995 in Sacramento, California.

Band History

In summer 1997 we published with El Diablo, the first CD of the band. Then Will Haven played together in the U.S. and in some European countries, among others, the Deftones, Tura Satana, Far, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit. In particular, in the UK the band became popular.

After a year full of concert tours with WHVN appeared in the summer of 1999 the second album. After this in the magazines Kerrang! and Alternative Press was discussed positively, the band returned with more well-known groups such as Soulfly, Fear Factory and Slipknot on tour.

Shortly thereafter, Will Haven had to go looking for a new drummer and found this in Mitch Wheeler. It was followed by the third CD Carpe Diem ( 2001). At the same time appears on Trainwreck Productions rotated video clip for the song Carpe Diem, in which the singer Chino Moreno Deftones play a major role.

After a few concerts in the U.S. and in the UK the band played for the time being the last time in 2002. A year later, just before the dissolution of the band, the DVD Foreign Films on which the complete last concert footage and one of the displayed can see past concerts.

After the end of the band members went into other projects: Ghost Ride, The Abominable Iron Sloth and Death Valley High arise.

End of 2005, Will Haven reported back again, shortly after the band played live in the U.S., in March 2006 in the UK. Meanwhile, the members worked on a new album. It will not be heard Grady Avenell be - he explained during a show in Los Angeles on February 19 his resignation from the band. Avenell was replaced by a long-time friend of the band, Jeff Jaworski of Red Tape.

Will Haven played again in the following as the opening act of the Deftones on their European tour.

The fourth full-length album of the band The Hierophant was published on 19 June 2007 via Bieler Bros. (including Nonpoint, Skindred and Sikth ). It was produced by Shaun Lopez ( ex -Far, The Revolution Smile) and Chino Moreno.
