Wille Mäkelä

Wille Mäkelä ( born March 2, 1974 in Hyvinkää ) is a Finnish curler.

Mäkelä first medal at the international level was a bronze medal at the 1998 World Cup in Kamloops, when he played at the position of third in the Finnish team. In 2000 he was able to repeat this success in Glasgow.

In European Championships Mäkelä was also successful. In 1999, in Chamonix and 2001 Vierumaeki he won the bronze medal. The title of the European Champion won Mäkelä 2000 in Oberstdorf.

Also as third Mäkelä played at the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin in Team Finland with skip Markku Uusipaavalniemi, Second Kalle Kiiskinen, Lead Teemu Salo and Alternate Jani Sullanmaa. Here, the team reached the final, which they lost with 4:10 against the team of Brad Gushue Skip from Canada.
