William Allan Award

The William Allan Award is the highest scientific honor of the American Society of Human Genetics ( ASHG ) and is awarded annually. The award was first presented in 1961 and commemorates William Allan ( 1881-1943 ), an American pioneer of Human Genetics.

The winner receives a medal next to a prize of $ 10,000. He shall keep at the annual meeting of ASHG a prize lecture and publish its summary in the American Journal of Human Genetics.
