William David O'Brien

William David O'Brien ( born August 3, 1878 in Chicago, USA, † February 19, 1962 ) was auxiliary bishop in Chicago.

Life

William David O'Brien received on 11 July 1903, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On February 10, 1934, he was named by Pope Pius XI. Titular Bishop of Calynda and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Chicago. The Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal George Mundelein, donated to him on April 25th of that year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Dallas, Joseph Patrick Lynch, and the auxiliary bishop in Chicago, Bernard James Sheil. On November 18, 1953 William David O'Brien was elevated to titular archbishop.
