William Frederick Denning
William Frederick Denning ( born November 25, 1848 in Redpost, † June 9, 1931 ) was a British astronomer.
He spent much time with the discovery of comets, and succeeded him. His discoveries include the periodic comet 72D/Denning-Fujikawa and the now lost comet D/1894 F1.
He sought and also examined Meteors and Novae. He also discovered Nova Cygni 1920 ( V476 Cygni ).
Honors
In addition, craters are named on Mars and the Moon after him.
