William Henry DeWitt

William Henry DeWitt ( born October 24, 1827 in Smith County, Tennessee; † April 11, 1896 in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee ) was an American politician from the 19th century.

DeWitt was 1855-1857 Member of the State Legislature of Tennessee. As his home state breaking away from the Union, he represented this 1861-1862 in the Provisional Konföderiertenkongress. After the war he held the office of judge in Tennessee. He was also a member of the Freemasons.

He died in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee and was subsequently buried there on the Forest Hills Cemetery.
