Willie Parker

Willie Everette Parker ( born November 11, 1980 in Clinton, North Carolina ) is an American football player. Parker is currently playing as a running back for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League ( NFL). Previously, he played from 2004 to 2009 with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His college years he spent as a substitute at the University of North Carolina. He was selected in 2004 by any NFL team in the NFL Draft, but still got a contract with the Steelers.

On 5 February 2006, he won with the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XL against the Seattle Seahawks. He could repeat with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009, when Pittsburgh once again won the Super Bowl against the Arizona Cardinals this success. He was elected to the seasons 2006 and 2007 respectively in the Pro Bowl. 2008 and 2009, he has had to struggle with injury problems.

Having as a substitute for Rashard Mendenhall got very little playing time in the 2009 season, he signed 2 April 2010 a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins.
