Wim Anderiesen

Willem Gerardus changes giants ( born November 17 1903 in Amsterdam, † July 18, 1944 ), better known as Wim Ande giant Sr., was a Dutch football player. He played in midfield.

Life

From 1925 to 1940 he played, partly with his half- brother Henk changes giants, Ajax Amsterdam. He won in the 30s four times the Dutch Cup Eredivisie.

For the Dutch national football team played Ande giant 46 times, which was a record at Ajax players, Ruud Krol to 1979, the figure exceeded. He was also in the first two World Cup matches in the Netherlands on the square 1934 against Switzerland and 1938 against the Czechoslovak Republic. Both matches were lost.

After his career, he worked as a porter at De Nederlandsche Bank. He died in 1944 of pneumonia.

His son, also named Wim Ande Giants, played in the 1950s for Ajax.
