Winston Ntshona

Winston Ntshona ( born October 6, 1941 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa) is a South African film and theater actor.

Life

Winston Ntshona worked before his acting career as a worker in a factory for Ford and was responsible for the production of car engines. 1967, the South African writer John Kani became aware of Ntshona, who received Ntshona Athol Fugard in conjunction with the theater company Serpent Player. The group belonged to the so-called anti - apartheid in South Africa. With the Serpent Players, it also went on tour, so 1975, briefly to Broadway. In the same year Ntshona and Kani were also the Tony Award as Best Actor.

Now that Hollywood also took notice of the black Africans Ntshona got first film deals so that he could be seen since 1974 in some still famous and successful movies in small supporting roles, including the 1982 -produced historical film Gandhi. In one of his last film roles Ntshona was seen in 2006 film drama Blood Diamond.
