Wishful Thinking is an American comedy film directed by Adam Park from 1997. And starring Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Beals.
Action
The same story is repeated several times told from the perspective of the main characters.
Max learns Elizabeth know, the two are a couple. When Elizabeth talks after four years about the wedding, Max is unsure. Elizabeth is at a distance, Max thinks she would betray him. It comes to a fight, Max injured by inattention.
Lena, a work colleague of Max wants to win him over. When Elizabeth meets with a man, Lena Max is a tip. Later, she feels guilty. Max enters the apartment, but can not find the hidden visitors. It runs on the fire escape to the roof. There he harassed a man who happened to staying on the roof. The man beating him up.
Elizabeth says Max, they need a break in the relationship. In the end she is with another man, while Max meets with Lena.

Michael Dequina described the film in ' The Movie Report Archive' as ' routine ', but also admitted that he had already seen worse movies in the cinemas. He praised the portrayal of Drew Barrymore.
Elspeth Haughton wrote in ' Apollo Guide Review ', the script was defective ( ' legless '), the pace low. The film was cut to Drew Barrymore star.
