Wisłok
The Wisłok ( German also Weisslok, Weisslog ) is a river in the Eastern Carpathians in southeastern Poland. It springs (like the Wisłoka ) in the Niederbeskiden ( Bieszczady ) and flows ( German: Saan ) at Dębno (municipality Leżajsk ) in the San. The Wisłok has a length of 220 km, the catchment area is 3540 km ².

History
The river's name was first mentioned in the late 14th century ( 1372 Visloka, 1390 Wislok, 1410 Wyslok ). In the Middle Ages ( to 1340 ) made the river the approximate boundary between the Kingdom of Poland and Kievan Rus, then within Poland, the border between the provinces of Little Poland ( Malopolska ) and Rotruthenien ( Ruś Czerwona ).
