Wolfgang Franz von Kobell

Franz Ritter von Hess Peter ( born July 19, 1803 in Munich, † November 11, 1882 ) was a German mineralogist and writer.

Life

Franz Hess Peter was the son of the painter Wilhelm Hess Peter. He attended grammar school until 1820, the (now ) Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich and studied at the University of Landshut at the chemist Johann Nepomuk Fuchs. In 1823 he was active in the Corps Isaria, today in Munich. He has worked in 1823 as an adjunct in the mineralogical State Collection in Munich and received his doctorate in 1824 at the University of Erlangen. He became Associate Professor in 1826 and Full Professor in 1834 at the relocated to Munich University of Munich. Already in 1827 he was elected to the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. Scientific activity

KOBELL undertook during the reign of King Otto in Greece in 1834, a scientific trip there and was a corresponding member of several scientific societies and support high order.
