Wolfhalden

Wolf Halden is a municipality in the canton of Appenzell front Ausserrhoden in Switzerland.

Geography

The village of Wolf Halden is located in Appenzell country between Heiden and Walzenhausen, 300 meters above Lake Constance. The lowest point of the municipality is the Tobelmüli to 448 meters, the highest point is located behind the Guggenbühel on the border with the nations of the 921 meters. The municipality is divided into several hamlets, which are sometimes far apart.

History

To the church at 1652 Wolf Halden was part of the municipality Short Mountain, which was kirchgenössig to Thal SG.

Over the past few years, Wolf Halden has greatly developed. Current mayor is Max Koch (FDP).

Attractions
